What's it Going to Cost?

After the home inspection you may learn repairs are needed.  If you are the buyer, you have to make a decision, do you except the home as is, do you ask the seller to make the repairs or do you ask for a reduction in price?  Of course those are decisions you must make on your own.

If you are a seller, and you have had a pre-market inspection and you learn repairs are needed, you also have a decision to make.  Do you make the repairs so they are not an issue to a buyer, do you let some things go, hoping the buyer will accept things as they are or do you negotiate for less the full repair cost.  Current market conditions will greatly influence that decision.

In either of the above scenarios, the bottom line is the cost.  Below you will find repair and/or replacement costs.  These are "ball Park" estimates.  Actual prices can vary significantly depending on the contractor and area you live in. Obtaining at least three actual contractor prices before a final decisions is recommended.

Cost for home repairs can vary greatly depending on the size of the job.  A minimum charge is sometimes listed along with other costs such as square feet (sq. ft.).  Small jobs typically carry a minimum charge.
