The interior of homes vary greatly.  Beside the different floor plans (how many  floors, rooms etc.), there are also various types of construction that govern how a home is inspected.  Some homes have basements and some are built on slabs, while others are built over crawl spaces.  There are even homes that are constructed with a combination of all three.  Whatever the type of home, they all need a foundation, framing structure, heating and possibly cooling systems, plumbing, electric, walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, and most have attic spaces.  For the purpose of this tour, we will begin with a home with a basement, show a crawl space and work our way to the attic, understanding that systems typically found in a basement are located in other spaces for homes on a slab and often with crawl spaces.
