Prepare Your Home For Sale & Inspection

If you are selling a home and want to get the most money in the least amount of time, there are steps you can take to increase your chances of achieving your goal.  There are two pair of very import eyes you want to influence.  The first is the buyer. By creating the best curb appeal possible and staging the interior of your home to make it warm and inviting, you will attract more potential buyers.  Secondly, you don't want the home inspector bringing to the buyer a long list of items that need repair.  Doing some repairs and catching up with normal home maintenance before the inspection may prevent second thoughts by the buyer because of the home inspection report.

We offer two tools to help you. Click on the image to the right or the link below to view a preview of our slide show presentation on how to "Prepare your home for sale and inspection" (sound required).  Ask your realtor for the CD copy of the full length version.  If they don't have one, they need only give us a call and we will provide a copy. After viewing the slideshow, down load the PDF checklist that we created for realtors to help their clients prepare their house for sale. Take a tour of your home with your realtor and check off possible repairs and improvements you want to make before marketing your home.

The Marvin H. Schaefer Inspection Service, Inc. also provides pre-marketing inspections and consultations for home sellers if you want a more in-depth professional view of how to prepare your home for sale and inspection.
