Starting off with co-owner Jill Schaefer, whose primary goal is to offer the best quality home and commercial inspection service possible.

Jill Schaefer: Co-Owner & Office Manager

Jill is originally from Wisconsin but now resides in New Haven County with her husband and co-owner Bruce Schaefer.

She manages the day to day operations including but not limited to hiring and training personnel, coordinating inspection scheduling, managing our radon testing department, and customer service.

Nancy Marren: Bookkeeper

Nancy and her family reside in New Haven county. Additionally, Nancy enjoys spending time with her children outside of work.

Her responsibilities consist of overseeing financial transactions and producing financial reports.

Kathleen Glass: Client Consultant

Kathleen was born and raised in Florida. She later moved to New Haven County with her husband where they have raised their children.

She corresponds with current and prospective clients and coordinates inspection scheduling.

Hana Natalino: Client Consultant

Hana is from New Haven County. She began at Schaefer Inspection Service during high school and has blossomed in her position.

Hana corresponds with current and prospective clients, handles the radon department, and coordinates inspection scheduling.

Liz Cote: Communication and Sales Manager

Liz was born and raised in New Haven county. She then graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2017 and began her career full-time at Schaefer Inspection Service.

Her responsibilities consist of managing marketing efforts such as hosting presentations, attending special events and coordinating client information.

Bruce Schaefer: Founder, Co-Owner, & Inspector

Bruce was born and raised in New Haven County. He later founded this home inspection business in 1982. His background in home building, remodeling, and his business education prepared him for his long and successful career. In the 80’s Bruce also joined the American Society of Home Inspectors, and InterNACHI, became certified for radon testing and wood-destroying insect inspections.

Bruce’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, training new inspectors, and managing customer satisfaction.

Tom Begg: Inspector

After Tom graduated from the University of Bridgeport he entered the home-remodeling industry. In 1997, Tom became a licensed home inspector and has been conducting inspections for Schaefer Inspection Service ever since.

Tom’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, educating clients, and assisting clients in the inspection investigation.

Ken McCann: Inspector

Ken graduated from Central Connecticut State University. He later became a licensed home inspector and joined the Schaefer Inspection Service team in 1999.

Ken’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, educating clients, and assisting clients in the inspection investigation.

Bob Diamond: Inspector

In high school, Bob won an award for excellence in industrial arts. Shortly after, Bob began his career in construction. Bob worked as a carpenter and general contractor for 17 years. Bob become a licensed home inspector in 2001.

Bob’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, educating clients, and assisting clients in the inspection investigation.

Ron Worsfold: Inspector

Ron Wors

Ron attended both Norwalk State Technical College and Sacred Heart University. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to joining Schaefer Inspection Service, Ron was the business owner of New England Woodworkers Inc.

Ron’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, educating clients, and assisting clients in the inspection investigation.

Mark Barnes: Inspector

Mark graduated from Yale University back in 1978. He has worked in the residential construction industry since 1983. Mark first joined the Schaefer team as a licensed home inspector in 1998.

Mark’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, educating clients, and assisting clients in the inspection investigation.

Bill Wilkes: Inspector

Bill has experience building and remodeling homes, decks, barns, and sheds. He also had owned and operated a fencing company. He enjoys working with people and believes working as a home inspector is a great fit for him.

Bill’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, educating clients, and assisting clients in the inspection investigation.

John Marino: Inspector

John has an extensive background in construction and property maintenance. Before he joined the Schaefer team, John worked for Marino & Son Home Builders and Marino Home Improvement. 

John’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, educating clients, and assisting clients in the inspection investigation.

Eoin Bradley: Inspector

Eoin was born and raised in County Clare, Ireland. He has worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years. He currently lives in New Haven County with his wife and dog.

Eoin’s responsibilities include conducting inspections, educating clients, and assisting clients in the inspection investigation.

Phil Rella: Radon Technician

Phill pp

Phil grew up in New Haven county. He later graduated from Charter Oak State College. Prior to joining the Schaefer team, he was in the United States Air Force.

His responsibilities consist of traveling throughout the state of Connecticut, retrieving Radon equipment, and collecting water samples.

Since 1982, Schaefer Inspection Service has had one important goal for the services we offer: to provide our clients with an analysis of their home for use in making informed decisions regarding the home buying purchase and negotiation process.
