Gavin Krois
Gavin Krois joined Schaefer Inspection Service at the start of 2025, bringing with him a diverse background rooted in environmental science, hands-on DIY experience, and a lifelong passion for understanding how systems work—both in nature and in the home. A graduate of Stony Brook University, he studied Sustainability Studies and Marine Science and spent time working in soil and water science research labs, further deepening his understanding of the natural forces that impact land and structures.
Gavin’s professional experience includes work as a Maintenance Technician responsible for the repair and upkeep of the Woodbridge Office Park. He also previously worked as a State Park Ranger and as a Hydrologist with the United States Geological Survey, where he developed a strong foundation in water systems, environmental processes, and field-based analysis.
In addition to his scientific background, Gavin has extensive hands-on experience in carpentry and fabrication. He has spent years building boats and working on various engineering and woodworking projects, giving him a practical, detail-oriented approach. Gavin is committed to providing thorough, honest inspections while ensuring clients feel informed and confident throughout the process.
Outside of work, he is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who spends time on the water year-round. He lives in Milford, Connecticut, where he was born and raised, with his girlfriend, Olivia.
