We used Schaeffer for a home inspection and sewer scope for an home that had been remodeled and was on the market. Our inspector was Owen who was very thorough and knowledgeable. We hired Schaefer and worked with Eoin on 2 home inspections as first time buyers in New Haven. Eoin was very knowledgeable and thorough, and he also took the time to answer our questions and explain what he saw in practical terms so that my partner and I could feel confident making decisions about the purchase (including 1 that we walked away from). We were given several brochures from inspection companies from our real estate agent. A couple of them had way too many choices. You know, it’s like when you go to a diner and there’s 50 pages in the menu. I really only need four or five. Their brochure was a simple two sided card that got right to the point. Exactly what we needed. Everyone is very professional at this company. They are accommodating, easy to work with, and were there for us when we needed them. Adam was our inspector, and he did a phenomenal job. Highly knowledgeable and he came across as someone who really takes his job seriously and wants to do the best he can do. We had our home inspection yesterday. Our inspector’s name was John H. from Schaefer Inspection Services and I couldn’t be happier with his  service. From start to finish, he was absolutely wonderful! The inspector arrived on time, was extremely professional, and took the time to thoroughly examine every aspect of the home. They explained everything clearly as they went along, pointing out potential issues, maintenance recommendations, and what was in great shape. We also had Bill from Standard Oil inspect the furnace.  Both of these men did an outstanding job. What stood out most was their friendly, patient demeanor and genuine care for helping clients. They answered all my questions and I felt completely supported throughout the process. If you’re looking for a reliable, honest, and thorough home inspector, look no further. He took the time during the inspection to explain to us what he was looking for, what his findings were, and encouraged us to ask questions. Scott Albon was excellent, knowledgeable and very informative. He took his time and I learned so much from him about each aspect of the home I am in the process of purchasing. From the roof to the basement and everything in between. The report was quickly delivered with images of any issues found which will make it helpful for repairs needed in the future. The most impressive aspect to me was his in-depth knowledge of the mechanical systems. A delight to work with. I needed Scott for 2 inspections in one week, due to his findings and septic inspection issues on Monday at the first home I was going to purchase. I was able to find another home quickly and luckily he was available for another home inspection on Friday with much better findings.
