Bill Wilkes
Bill Wilkes has built a career—and a life—centered on service to others. He grew up assisting his father, a plumber, where he learned early how to install and replace boilers and water heaters, sparking his lifelong interest in home improvement. Over the years, he has gained hands-on experience building and remodeling homes, decks, barns, and sheds. Bill has also owned and operated a fencing company and worked as both a tree climber and landscaping foreman.
In addition to his construction background, Bill proudly served eight years in the U.S. Army as a Fire Support Sergeant and infantryman before beginning a 22-year career teaching high school mathematics. He spent 10 years at Staples High School in Westport and 12 years at Trumbull High School, where he was known for his patience, precision, and commitment to helping students succeed. His time in both the military and the classroom instilled in him a deep dedication to service, teamwork, and problem-solving — qualities that continue to define his work as a home inspector today.
As a home inspector, Bill views his work as the culmination of everything he has done in his life. He brings discipline, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others to every inspection, ensuring clients feel informed and confident in their decisions.
Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time with his two adult sons, cherishing every opportunity to share in their growth and adventures. An avid fisherman, he’s often up before sunrise to cast a line and enjoy the quiet start of the day.
