John Hamlin

John Hamlin joined Schaefer Inspection Services in 2020, bringing extensive home inspection experience with him. John is a CT state-licensed home inspector who began inspecting in 2010. He is a member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and spent eight years serving as an officer with the Coastal CT Chapter of ASHI, including four years as chapter President. John is a nationally certified Deck Inspector through the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA) and is also a certified Wood Destroying Insect Registry Inspector through the New England Pest Management Association (NEPMA). In addition to his knowledge and experience in home inspection, John also has expertise in building science, green building, energy efficiency, and occupant health. John is recognized for being a very thorough inspector and enjoys teaching clients about the home. On a personal level, John is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and lives with his wife Pat and their three children in Easton, CT.
