John Hamlin

John Hamlin joined Schaefer Inspection Service in 2020, bringing with him a decade of inspection experience and a strong foundation in building science, green building, energy efficiency, and occupant health. He began his career in 2010 and has since built a reputation as a thorough, knowledgeable inspector who takes pride in educating clients and helping them understand their homes.

John has also been an active leader in the inspection community. He served for eight years as an officer with the Coastal Connecticut Chapter of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors), including four years as Chapter President. In addition, he is a member of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) and holds a national certification as a Deck Inspector through the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA).

A graduate of the University of Connecticut, John lives in Easton, CT, with his wife, Pat, and their three children.
