John Marino

John Marino has been a licensed home inspector in Connecticut since 2012 and joined Schaefer Inspection Service in 2016. He brings decades of hands-on experience to the role, having worked as a contractor with Marino Home Builders and Home Improvement from 1988 to 2006. In addition, he served as Director of Maintenance at Avery Heights Health Care in Hartford beginning in 1980. Over the years, John has built homes from the ground up and managed countless home improvement projects, giving him a deep and practical understanding of how houses are constructed and maintained.

As an inspector, John takes pride in spending time with his clients, ensuring they feel confident and well-informed about their potential new home. His approachable style and wealth of knowledge help buyers understand not just what issues may exist, but also how best to address them.

Outside of work, John enjoys being at home with his family and grandchildren. He can often be found relaxing by his swimming pool in the summer or enjoying the heated lanai he built himself during the winter months.
